Experienced Research Scientist with strong experience in Maize breeding, hybrid seed development and Farm Management. Executive Director, West Africa Centre for Crops Improvement (WACCI). Has over 6 years of working experience in the non-profit sector with experience in gender advocacy and skills development, project and organisation management, entrepreneurship, and negotiation. Experience in proposal development, project design and implementation.
Strong operations professional with a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) focused in Genetics and Plant breeding from the University of Ghana.
Currently a PhD candidate with the West Africa Centre for Crop Development, focusing on the development of climate and nutrient-smart maize varieties using the demand-led approach of modern plant breeding.
A strong believer in feminism, gender equality and mentoring the youth to create a positive change in society.

Kwabena Owusu-Sarfo is a distinguished investment professional with extensive experience in business strategy and a passionate focus on climate finance and impact investing. Throughout his career, he has taken on key roles such as Portfolio Manager and Investment Manager, where he has been responsible for managing diverse investment portfolios, optimising returns while ensuring alignment with sustainable practices.

His work as an Investment Officer has equipped him with the skills to identify lucrative investment opportunities that also prioritise environmental and social governance. In addition, his experience as a Portfolio Associate has involved meticulous research and analysis, helping to shape investment decisions supported by rigorous data.

Kwabena has also excelled in analytical roles, including Senior Financial Analyst and Financial Analyst, where he developed detailed financial models and conducted in-depth market analysis to support strategic investment initiatives. His overarching goal is to drive sustainable growth through investments that yield not only significant financial returns but also contribute positively to society and the environment.

Eliza Sam-Founder & CEO Elys Royal Ventures,

She possesses extensive experience in investment and portfolio management, having successfully navigated various markets and asset classes. Her background includes substantial roles in business development, where she has crafted strategies to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency. With a strong foundation in management, she has effectively led teams through complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while fostering a collaborative work environment. Her diverse expertise equips her to identify lucrative investment opportunities and manage risk effectively, making her a valuable asset in the financial sector.

Eliza Sam is the visionary Founder and CEO of Elys Royal Ventures, where she spearheads innovative initiatives and strategic investments. In addition to her role at Elys Royal Ventures, she serves as a Senior Executive in Accounts and Administration at the esteemed Accra Institute of Technology, managing critical administrative functions and ensuring operational efficiency.

Previously, Eliza held the position of Admin/Protocol Officer at the Consulate of the Republic of Rwanda, where she was responsible for enhancing diplomatic relations and facilitating seamless communication. Her career also includes valuable experience as an Admin/Project Officer at the International Institute for Information Technology, where she contributed to various technology-driven projects.

Eliza’s educational background is equally impressive; she pursued studies in Report Writing at the African Institute of Journalism & Communication (AIJC) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central University College. Her blend of experience and education equips her with a unique perspective and skill set in both business and communication.

 

 Joseph Nii Kpakpo Clegg- HR Leader, Founder -Peepl360

Joseph is a seasoned HR leader and Founder of Peepl360 Connect, with 15+ years’ experience advancing strategic HR initiatives across multiple sectors. An expert in Employment Law, HR Risk Audits, Data Protection, HRIS, and Compensation, he helps organizations navigate complex compliance and people challenges.

Formerly Associate Director, HR & Admin at FHI 360 Ghana, he aligned HR with mandates from USAID, DFID, and Pfizer. He’s strengthened organizations by preemptively identifying HR risks and driving legal and operational excellence. Joseph has also served as Assistant Registrar and Lecturer at Regent University College. A strategic advisor across Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Ivory Coast, and Kenya, he fuses legal insight, tech-driven solutions, and people-first strategies to align HR with business goals. From fair compensation systems to digital HR platforms, Joseph transforms HR functions to boost performance, compliance, and resilience across sectors.

He holds multiple degrees, including LLM in Employment Law from The University of Law, UK, an MSc in Management Information Systems from Coventry University, UK, an MA in Management (Human Resources) from the University of Northampton, UK, and a BSc in Administration (HRM) from the University of Ghana. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management (CIHRM) Ghana, and a certified Data Protection Supervisor

Edmund Larbi-Edmund Larbi, CFO & Board Member

Edmund Larbi is a highly experienced accountant and a dedicated member of the SDA School’s Board, with extensive knowledge in financial management. He is skilled in preparing annual financial statements and developing comprehensive budgets, which facilitate effective resource allocation for institutions. Additionally, he provides annual cash flow forecasts that offer critical insights into the financial health of an organization.

Mr. Larbi excels in conducting revenue analyses and monitoring institutional cash flow, ensuring an accurate assessment of the financial condition. He prepares bank reconciliation statements to guarantee alignment among all financial records.

Moreover, Mr. Larbi diligently oversees the monthly payroll process, ensuring that all employees receive timely and accurate compensation. He effectively manages both accounts receivable and accounts payable, fostering strong relationships with vendors and ensuring that financial commitments are met punctually.

Mr. Larbi is well-versed in various financial tools and systems, including QuickBooks for accounting, BISTA procurement for efficient resource allocation, and Persol payroll for effective employee remuneration. He has also implemented document management systems and utilizes Eduware for comprehensive school management, enhancing organizational efficiency and streamlining operations.
