Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa
Cure Technologies, a Technology and AgriBusiness company, is committed to transforming Sub-Saharan Africa’s agricultural sector by integrating advanced technology with sustainable farming infrastructure. Our flagship product, AgriFAAS Connect, is designed to address critical challenges in agriculture, such as food scarcity, high operational costs, and limited access to resources and markets. By establishing a network of digitally supported, irrigation-fed farms across 100,000 acres, AgriFAAS Connect aims to empower smallholder farmers, promote food security, and foster job creation. We seek funding to scale AgriFAAS Connect across Sub-Saharan Africa, creating 5,000 direct and 6,000 indirect jobs, with a focus on young women and marginalized groups. This proposal outlines our strategies, objectives, activities, and projected impact.
Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa faces numerous challenges. Smallholder farmers, who form the backbone of food production, lack access to technology, markets, and resources needed for sustainable growth. Issues like climate change, urbanization, and rising agricultural costs further intensify the region’s food scarcity and unemployment rates. Women, youth, and marginalized communities, including persons with disabilities (PWDs) and refugees, are disproportionately impacted by these limitations. The need for scalable solutions that address resource scarcity, climate adaptation, and income stability has never been more urgent.
AgriFAAS Connect is uniquely designed to bridge these gaps by providing smallholder farmers with an integrated platform that combines real-time data, climate-resilient infrastructure, and market access. This project aligns directly with the SDGs’ mission to promote resilience, economic inclusion, and sustainability through innovative and impactful projects.

‘WHY’ AgriFAAS Connect
AgriFAAS Connect was conceived to address critical challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa’s agricultural landscape, where millions of smallholder farmers struggle with limited resources, climate-induced risks, and insufficient market access. The “why” behind AgriFAAS Connect lies in creating a transformative solution to drive agricultural productivity, economic growth, and environmental sustainability, while fostering inclusion and resilience.
- Food Security and Scarcity:
Africa is home to vast arable land, yet food insecurity persists due to inefficient farming practices and lack of access to modern agricultural tools. AgriFAAS Connect empowers farmers with technology-driven insights and sustainable practices, enabling higher yields and reducing post-harvest losses to ensure reliable food supply. - Job Creation and Economic Growth:
Unemployment, particularly among young people and marginalized groups, is a pressing issue. AgriFAAS Connect establishes irrigation-supported farming hubs that serve as centers for training and employment, creating direct and indirect job opportunities for young women, men, refugees, and persons with disabilities. - Climate Resilience:
Climate change disproportionately affects Sub-Saharan farmers, with erratic rainfall and soil degradation threatening livelihoods. By integrating renewable energy, IoT-based monitoring, and water-efficient irrigation systems, AgriFAAS Connect enables farms to thrive in a changing climate. - Market Access and Economic Empowerment:
Many farmers remain disconnected from lucrative markets. AgriFAAS Connect bridges this gap through digital platforms that link farmers with buyers, cooperatives, and institutional clients, fostering financial inclusion and equitable growth. - Inclusive Development:
The solution is intentionally designed to prioritize young women and marginalized groups, ensuring they benefit equitably from training, employment, and leadership opportunities.
The ‘WHY’ of AgriFAAS Connect is rooted in its potential to transform agriculture into a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient sector that uplifts entire communities while addressing regional and global challenges.
