We began with Computer Systems Integration Services — wiring schools and offices together, uniting disparate technologies into one working system. It taught us a rule we’ve never broken since: technology that needs perfect conditions isn’t technology for Africa.
Rural Reality
A farm three hours from Accra doesn’t care about your cloud architecture. Connectivity drops. Power flickers. Devices are shared. If your platform needs 4G and a laptop, it’s not going to reach the farmers who need it most — and the 2024 drought that cut our own pilot farm’s revenue by 73% proved that missing data isn’t an inconvenience, it’s a lost season.
How the AgriFAAS Platform Answers
So when we built the AgriFAAS Farm Manager, offline wasn’t a feature — it was the foundation:
- Offline-first progressive web app — field teams capture data with no signal; it syncs when connectivity returns
- Row-level data sovereignty — every farm’s records belong to that farm, with permissions enforced at the record level
- One workflow for everyone — extension officers log visits and compliance reports in the same system the farm uses daily
- Multi-currency, low-spec friendly — runs on the devices people already own
Today that infrastructure runs 38 agribusinesses and 89 users, live since June 2025. Systems integration was the old business; building the system rural Africa can actually run on is the business now.
