How We Built a 17-Person Team That Works From Anywhere
CTSG Ventures began as a remote experiment — could a Ghanaian venture run serious operations with a distributed team? Today the answer is 17 full-time people, 47% of them women, working across engineering, agronomy, finance, and field operations.
Remote by Design
Our training record proves the model scales: 111 extension officers have been trained through remote, digitally supported programs — no physical classrooms, no urban bias. Our 50 launched agripreneurs (35 of them women) were coached the same way, and they participate in 30+ existing Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) networks in their own communities.
Where Remote Ends
Some things must be done with your hands in the soil. That’s why our farm field team is resident on-site at the Tsiame Farm Hub in the Volta Region — solar irrigation, land preparation, and crop management run under standardized operating procedures, while the back office runs on the same AgriFAAS platform our customers use.
Why It Matters
Young Africans don’t need to migrate to Accra or Lagos to do meaningful tech work.
